Tim Reynolds is happy to be a part of the East Coast urban sprawl yet again.The former Charlottesville resident is taking a breather from his renowned acoustic shows. Reynolds spent a chunk of his adolescence hopping from town to town in the Midwest. He settled in Charlottesville and called it his physical and musical home for 17 years before moving to Santa Fe, N.M. Reynolds now resides on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It was in Charlottesville in the 1980s where Reynolds first sparked TR3. Under the same name, a new and powerful TR3 returns in January 2008 (featuring bassist Mick Vaughn and drummer Dan Martier), ready to bring some carefully crafted electricity to East Coast venues. The trio will play at Richmond’s Capital Ale House tomorrow and at Charlottesville’s Satellite Ballroom on Saturday.

Stefan will play an all star benefit at the Pickle Barrel Nightclub in Killington. Some of tickets are available for now. Plus the musician  will be joined on stage by Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies
Adam Gardner of Guster. This  trio has been playing together as the band Yukon Kornelius. Special guest is Eric Fawcett from N.E.R.D. The event will be hosted by actor Jason Biggs. So if you have a chance to see it, go for it.

Two of the more high-profile acts that weren’t selling their music as ringtones have given in. The operator scored exclusive access to a handful of Dave Matthews Band’s ringtones made from live recordings, but will later include studio tracks. Van Halen, meanwhile, is making its most popular songs available as ringtones to all wireless operators, but agreed to give AT&T exclusive versions of those same songs for a limited time. AT&T director of music and personalization products Mark Nagel says the Dave Matthews deal was a result of simply communicating the demand.

The Fly is Now Available

After a year of anticipation, the Dave Matthews song, “The Fly” is finally available on the web. Dave Matthews wrote “The Fly” as a contribution to the ATO Pictures film “Joshua,” which won an Excellence in Cinematography award at the Sundance Film Festival.

It is exactly South Africa which inspired Dave Matthews so much for music. However, Dave performed in this country quite rarely, and, perhaps, to the surprise of many, the guitarist’s final performance in 2007 took place in Gauteng, South Africa.  Is Dave planning to return back to South Africa? Will he perform there more often? Who knows… but it is quite typical for many stars to return back to the homeland after long years on the foreign land.

As usual, Matthews and his legendary band bring the energy of their live performance to over 50,000 fans. The concert features such loved singles as ‘So Much to Say’ and ‘Too Much,’ as well as Dave’s rarely played ‘#40′
- a short, romantic, usually-improvised ballad.

The Dave Matthews Band have finally released a live record entitled Live at Piedmont Park this week. The CD was recorded in Atlanta, Georgia this year. The show to support the CD is a kind of a benefit show, which is aimed at raising funds for a construction project to expand the park of the city of Atlanta. The DMB’s performance was attended by over 50,000 people and brought over a $1 million dollars.

This is a good idea, especially for musicians who for this or that reason quitted their music career. That is what DMB is doing, and quite successfully.

Almost all of us own a cell phone these days and of course everyone wants to satisfy his little crazes to have ringtones playing songs of our favorite Dave Matthews Band! According to a recent Billboard The Dave Matthews Band are the latest high powered musicians to jump into the ringtone story. The band and managers had finally agreed soon after they found out more about the demand for their ringtones.

DMB In New Jersey

DMBThe DMB appeared on the concert stage at 8:15 p.m. after their opening act, Robert Randolph & the Family Band. Starting with “One Sweet World,” the Dave Matthews Band eased into one of their latest shows of 2007, a concert that would end up after 11 p.m. The songs of the Dave Matthews band appeal to a large fan base that is made up of both jam and pop fans. From the band’s early “Grace is Gone” and “You May Die Trying” the band has gone to the more elastic arrangements of “All Along the Watch Tower” and “Warehouse.”
