Dave Matthews Band Fan Site

It is almost April Fools and there is a funny article about how to look and act like Dave Matthews. They suggest the kinds of clothes you should wear, but more importantly, what kinds of mannerisms are good for those who want to be Matthews. You should drink whiskey, not beer. You should play a certain kind of guitar. And you should be simply antiestablishment, no matter what establishment you might be around. Whether you are still living in the era of W or part of the Obama world, you could easily find a way to be against the establishment. Anyway, read the whole article about him here.

If you want to see the whole Dave Matthews tour schedule, you’ll have to check out the DMB webpage. However, I just wanted to give one of the early examples of where he’s going to be playing. As you may or may not know, the DMB is from Charlottesville, VA, home of Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and others. They will be playing one of their first dates there in the city, at the John Paul Jones Arena. It’s one of the best ways to start off a tour, at home, in front of home fans, who are not only big fans of the music, but also proud of the band! It’s going to be a great show on April 17 and 18! If you’re going to it, you can be sure that I am jealous. But I’ll find a way to one show or another, don’t worry!

Pete Seeger will be turning 90 in just over a month. Dave Matthews will be joining Bruce Springsteen and several other major performers during the celebration of the nono-centennial. It’s going to be a big occasion. Seeger doesn’t usually go in for big events, but some people talked to him and convinced him to perform at those big events. And why not? Seeger is one of the biggest members of the music community, particularly in the world of singer-songwriters. He was one of the best (and less importantly, most successful) performers in the world and is also still right on top of the music world. We’re happy to see that they have realized how much they owe him.

On this week’s NPR show “Sound Opinions”, the two hosts played “Rock Doctors” as they called it and this week it was a couple who weren’t interested in the same kinds of music. The guy, in particular, was a fan of Green Day and Dave Matthews. The woman wasn’t really interested in it, and liked more lyrical music without that same kind of sound. So they had to find a couple of artists that they could possible agree on and the Rock Doctors picked Blitzen Trapper and Marked Men, as they had elements of each kind of music that the couple liked. Blitzen Trapper went over well, but Marked Men wasn’t quite as good. But of course, we could just convert her into a Dave Matthews fan and then the problem would be over!

As we all know by now, the Dave Matthews Band will be going on tour this spring and summer. But did you know that the tickets are just going on sale today? I’m excited about this, because I’m getting my tickets today! I don’t know where I want to see him though. There are lots of different possibilities, aren’t there? I could go to Boston, Chicago, Minnesota, California… all over the place! It’s so hard to decide. It doesn’t matter so much, because either way, I get to see the best band ever. I’m not going to be looking at the scenery nearly as much as I’ll be looking at the band and closing my eyes to listen to their amazing harmonies. Fasten your seatbelts, because this is going to be awesome.

We have been keeping our eyes out for different Dave Matthews news for the last few weeks and here it is! The tickets for the DMB concert series are going on sale later this week. It’s going to be a great set of concerts with a lot of fun music and everything. Are you ready? The DMB is awesome and if you haven’t caught them in person, you’re really missing out. They put on a great show with all of their most fun songs included each time. Do you live in a big city? How about a medium sized city? You probably live near one or another of these, in which case, it’s going to be easy for you to come up and see the band! Do it!

The Dave Matthews website has an entirely new look. It has a lot of different kinds of “bells and whistles” on it and you can check it out for a lot of different kinds of information. There are information about all the members and it has more links, a more interactive calendar, and all those kinds of things. This is a good way for them to prepare for their new tour and their albums. It’s going to be a fun time to look around the website, because you can always make connections with other fans. In fact, you should take your favorite co-fan and just start browsing this fun new site!

Jason Mraz has a tour scheduled for this year. And some of the dates coincide with those of the Dave Matthews Band, so they will be playing on the same bill in some of those places. It’s going to be great, I have to say, because they are very important people. Their styles will mesh just great, but that’s just the beginning. If you look at where they will be playing together, you will find that these are great places to hear a concert and enjoy yourself! We really like these guys and the mix is going to be great. Make sure that you check out this tour, because it’s perhaps the biggest highlight of the concert season.
