Touring Begins

Posted by: Greg

Posted in: DMB

So I mentioned the tour last week, and where you can get tickets for it. But when does this tour begin? According to the news, it will be starting on April 14th at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It’s going to be quite exciting, because that’s apparently the same day that RCA will release their new album as well. It’s going to be a little too much to handle, I’m afraid, but it will also be very exciting and a lot of fun! Start getting ready, friends, because we’re only a few months away. I know, it’s hard to wait that long, but just think of all the things you have to get done before then.

Serious Touring

With a brand new album out on the way, the Dave Matthews Band is set to do some serious touring. Not all of the dates have been confirmed yet, but the touring is definitely going to begin in April. So far his tour will be at least two months, but I’m sure fans can convince him to an encore of 10 years. I’ve already pre ordered my Dave Matthews tickets right here. The loss of LeRoy on the Sax will be tough, but I’m sure the boys will make it work.

Working on it

Posted by: Greg

Posted in: DMB

I’m working on the Dave Matthews Band shrine that I mentioned before. But there is a problem. The wood that I was planning to use is not kosher in the eyes of the Matthews Band people. It’s a balsa wood, and the band needs something that is a bit heavier and darker in color. Most hopefully a chestnut or cherry wood. I am still in the process of building it up and we shall see if it’s going to work. Perhaps I will use the balsa in the unseen parts of the Band Shrine, because it seems against the band’s environmentalist tendencies to just throw away a chunk of wood. I’m really working on it.

Too Much Excitement

In my opinion, it’s almost unfair that Dave has announced his new album to be coming out. Now I’ve got nearly four months to wait before I hear the pure vibrations of God’s voice again. So what I’ve decided to do is get to work on my oft-procrastinated shrine to Dave. I’ve cleaned out the my office and covered the walls in Dave quotes for inspiration. I sold the computer to pay for a brand new, state of the art CD player, which will not be opened until I have Dave’s new CD firmly in my hands. This will ensure that I hear no scratches, pops, or anything else an OLD CD player might have. Additionally, I have begun to stock the room with dry food reserves and plenty of water, for I will need them during my 3 days of straight listening to Dave’s new CD. There are also plenty of tissues for the many tears I KNOW I will shed. Tomorrow, I plan to begin my marble idol of Dave, which will be carved with my teeth, as ordained in the book of Dave.

Oh holy Dave! When the Dave-pocalypse comes, I will be ready my king! Lead me unto the land of milk and acoustic music!

New Album coming!

Posted by: Greg

Posted in: DMB

The Dave Matthews Band will be releasing their first new studio album in four years in mid-April. There have been rumors, but it just came out that they are actually going to make the CD and release it. Fans have been waiting for this for quite a few years, four to be exact, and the band is a great show each time. It will be released during a series of concerts, tickets for which will go on sale in January and it will be exciting to see. Members of the fan club will be able to buy tickets during a pre-sale period, which is nice for those of us who are fans. Those of you who aren’t… go sign up and then you can buy tickets sooner!

Dave

Dave Matthews is still on hiatus in between recordings and tours. Hope he is having a great holiday season though. I’m totally looking forward to the release of his new live album, even though usually don’t like live albums. Too much crowd noise. Too many little clicks and clonks. Too many changes to the songs. But i have a good feeling about this one!! Start saving now for it!

Dave’s Morning Routine

Posted by: Greg

Posted in: DMB

 davemattewss.jpg

There’s not a whole lot going on in the world of Dave so I will imagine what a normal routine is for Dave in the morning…

It’s 7:30 and Dave is already in the bathroom. He has used a pre and post brush mouthwash, applied an avocado extract ointment to his eyelids to reduce sagging, put 401 Suaveman hair styling gel in his hair, and has just finished flossing with an organic cinnamon flavored dental floss (his favorite). He stands in a pair of moose hair boxers. He goes for the bathroom doorknob but turns back to face himself in the mirror. “Oh yeah,” he says to his reflection. “Make this your day tiger.” He winks to himself and leaves.

Scene.

Dave Matthews Twitter?

Posted by: Greg

Posted in: DMB

According to the New York Observer, Dave Matthews is on Twitter!  The article is about the avatars of famous people, and how to choose an avatar in the first place. They say that the Dave Matthews avatar is a bad one: it has a black background and has a sort of abstract red light on it. The authors of the article say that this is a bad avatar (forsooth! Don’t be hatin’ Dave Matthews!) because an avatar is more like a logo that should advertise who you are and such. Anyhow, it seems unclear to me that the twitter page is actually THE Dave Matthews rather than just some faker. Judge for yourself.
