Keyboardist Butch to leave DMB.

The Dave Matthews Band website carried a message recently that their long time associate and keyboardist Butch Taylor has decided to part ways with the DMB. The fans of the Dave Matthews Band are very deeply hurt by this sudden decision by Butch. The DMB through their website has said that they are really saddened and shocked by this sudden revelation by Butch and thanked him for enthralling their fans all through these years. The band wished him good luck for his future endeavors and said that he will surely be missed by them. Butch Taylor has been touring with the DMB since 2001 and there have been no details that have been made available on this shocking decision so far.

Fans of Dave Matthews Band will be rushing out to the store to obtain May 29th issue of the Rolling Stones magazine. They will surely love the in-depth interview with the rock band especially since the magazines are saying how commendable Dave Matthews Band is for utilizing buses run on bio diesel and ensuring only biodegradable material is used whenever they acquire catering services. When asked what he thinks about the Live Earth concerts founded by Al Gore, Dave Matthews was quick to say it is ironic seeing how the wasteful the concert was. He likened musicians to traveling minstrels and he expressed wishes to see the modes of transportation undergo improvement.

The Dave Matthews Band will perform a live show at the West Palm Beach, Cruzan Amphitheater in Florida on July 12th. This famous band group formed in 1991 will visit Omaha, Nebraska for a performance at the Qwest center on July 22nd, after the Cruzan performance. The DMB shows will have tracks from their albums which include “Under the Table and Dreaming”, “Crash”, “Everyday”, “Busted Stuff” etc. The tickets for the show are currently on sale. Premier parking tickets are also being sold now for some of the venues. The Dave Matthews band fans at Florida and Nebraska are going all out to grab tickets for the concerts.

The Dave Matthews Band is bringing out a new album following the success of their 2005 super hit album “Stand Up” and the work on the current album is taking more time than it was originally assumed to take. The new album has a special emphasize on the word Band and has total involvement from all its band members in every aspect of the album. The work on the album started very early during this year in Charlottesville and then shifted to Seattle in March. The composition of the songs are ready and the group is awaiting for Dave Matthews to write the lyrics which will only happen after the DMB completes their summer tour in early September. So, DMB fans will have to wait for some more time before they get to grab a copy of DMB’s new album.

The Dave Matthews Band and Reverb are going all out to make their summer concert tour a green and eco-friendly affair, as news is filtering through that they have joined hands to partner Pickup Pal to offer Eco Rideshare Program. This program will help the concert goers to carpool for the summer concert and thereby will help in reducing the carbon emissions leaving the footprint in the air. Pickup Pal is so much involved in this program that they have decided to write off the driver commission for the DMB fans traveling to watch the band’s shows this summer. The DMB has also announced that they will be giving away some cool prizes to the lucky concertgoers who participate in the Eco Rideshare Program.

DMB to perform for charity

The Dave Matthews band who has always vouched to support charity concerts have given a nod to the Stand Up For A Cure benefit concert to be held at the Madison Square Garden in New York on the 12th of September that will be held to raise money to benefit lung cancer research. The tickets for this benefit concert will be available only through invitation and to the members of the warehouse fans association and is for sale from May 9th to May 16th. The ticket prices are on the higher side with the front floor tickets priced at $254.40 and goes down to $79.50.

There is good news for the Dave Matthews Band fans as there are reports that long time associate and friend of the DMB, Tim Reynolds, will be accompanying the band for the entire length of their 2008 concert tour. There have been reports circulating on the internet that Tim Reynolds had cancelled some of his prior tour dates in summer to be with old time friends of DMB on their summer tour.

 

The Dave Matthews Band will be receiving their old friend very happily and the fact that Tim will be accompanying them for their concert tour will augur well for their tour as well. The Dave Matthews Band long concert tour kicks off on May 30th in Burgettstown, PA. The Dave Matthews Band touring members list received a further boost as there are reports that Rashawn Ross and Butch Taylor have also confirmed their participation for the 2008 DMB tour.

Fans of Dave Matthews Band will be overjoyed to hear that their favorite band have won an award that recognizes their efforts in caring for the environment. Rock the Earth, a non-profit organization that marries the love for music and environmental concern, has named DMB one of the winers for the 2008 Planet Defender Award. DMB was victorious in the Artist category and applauded for campaigning for environmental sustainability. Although they have toured close to 17 years on the road, they promoted proper environmental ethics through endeavors like using Biodiesel for their tour bus, buying up carbon credits and encouraging the use of biodegradable utensils whenever they tour.

The charitable organization of Dave Matthews Band, Bama Works, is now auctioning premier charity tickets for the summer tour of the band. The tickets to the shows at Bridgeview, Camden and Burgettstown are now listed and there are reports that many more charity tickets for the other concert venues will also be going on auction very soon. The DMB has decided to auction premier tickets from the second to the sixth row for each show and the only exception is for the shows that have General Admission Field.

 

The Dave Matthews Band fans will be surely gearing up to purchase the charity tickets in their endeavour to support Bama Works. The band started the Bama Works Fund in order to carry out the charitable works all over the world. The Bama Works have funded many non profit organizations, charities and other community service programs.
