Dave Matthews Band and Reverb has been jointly trying to encourage the fans to be aware of the importance of preserving nature and preventing pollution. During last year’s tour of DMB, Reverb helped the Dave Matthew fans to reduce CO2 pollution considerably by the use of bio-diesel. The DMB had two main goals last year, one was to avoid environmental destruction by the fans during the shows and to give the message that each and every person can do something good to preserve nature and also can have fun while practicing it. The shows of DMB will occur in Eco-Villages that promote re-cycling of goods.

This year’s shows will have online car-pooling facility to reduce traffic to the shows as well as a method to reduce fuel consumption. Reduced fuel consumption will automatically reduce carbon emission to the atmosphere. Reverb is planning for an Eco-Footprint reduction competition to encourage fans to reduce eco-footprints. Carpooling provides other benefits like the chance to meet new people and reduces cases of drunken driving. DMB and Reverb is creating a good path for other bands to follow. Laura Sullivan, the co-founder of Reverb is confident of the positive outcome of their new initiative called car-pooling as the fans are really committed to preserving nature.
